KAJIMA PARTNERSHIPS APPOINTS CHRIS GILL AS MANAGING DIRECTOR

Kajima Europe, the real asset investor, developer and manager with £10 billion AUM across Europe, has appointed Chris Gill as Managing Director of its Partnerships business. This is part of a broader succession strategy to reinforce the company’s board.

Kajima Partnerships is the property and project finance investment arm of Kajima Europe, which is active in social infrastructure, renewables, and urban regeneration. To date, Kajima Partnerships has social infrastructure projects with a total investment value of over £1bn, and has 4GW of renewable energy projects in development across Europe.

Chris brings over fifteen years of experience in real estate investment and asset management specialising in infrastructure and energy. Building on the success of former Managing Directors, Julian Rudd-Jones and Richard Clancy, Chris will be responsible for accelerating the growth of Kajima Partnership’s 25-year long-established business across its core sectors of renewables, regeneration and social infrastructure, which includes Kajima’s public-sector focussed software business, Kajima Community. Chris will also oversee Kajima Partnerships’ investments and operations in Ireland, where Kajima Partnerships continues strengthening its commitment to the market by financing and developing new social and affordable housing projects.

Chris will continue as Head of Renewables at Kajima Europe, where he has been instrumental in launching and expanding Kajima’s renewables business across the UK and Europe.

Chris’ appointment forms part of Kajima Partnerships’ ambitious succession plan, including a series of new internal promotions that strengthen the Kajima Partnerships board, with Kevin Hawkins as Operations Director and Head of Social Infrastructure, and Christine Phillips as Finance Director.
