KAJIMA PARTNERSHIPS APPOINTS HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT & INVESTMENT

Real asset investor, developer, and manager Kajima Europe, with £10 billion AUM across Europe, has appointed Andrew Ludiman as Head of Development and Investment for its Partnerships business.

Andrew joins from Homes England, where he delivered financial structures for housing and regeneration projects through joint ventures, funds and other strategic funding initiatives. These strategies are set to enable the delivery of over 10,000 homes across England. With a focus on collaboration and sustainable development, Andrew is dedicated to driving impactful solutions in the housing and regeneration sectors.

Andrew is a seasoned expert in the field with nearly 30 years of experience in large-scale residential and commercial real estate investment and development. Before Homes England, he was Commercial Director at Knight Dragon and Director of Investment at Capital & Counties plc, where he was responsible for the development and management of major regeneration schemes, including the £16 billion mixed-use development at Greenwich Peninsula.

Andrew will lead the company’s Development & Investment team to grow the business’s regeneration, development and social infrastructure arms, with support from Chris Gill, Managing Director of Kajima Partnerships. This aligns with the UK Government’s significant push to leverage the private sector in delivering housing, social infrastructure and regeneration initiatives across the UK. Andrew will also join the board of our regeneration JV with Genr8 Developments, Genr8 Kajima Regeneration Ltd (GKRL), developing new business opportunities aligned with GKRL’s strategy.

Kajima Partnerships is the property and project finance investment arm of Kajima Europe, active in social infrastructure, renewables and urban regeneration. To date, Kajima Partnerships has social infrastructure projects with a total investment value of over £1bn and has 4GW of renewable energy projects in development across Europe.

Andrew’s appointment forms part of Kajima Partnerships’ ambitious growth plan, including a series of new internal promotions that strengthen the Kajima Partnerships board, with Chris Gill as Managing Director, Kevin Hawkins as Operations Director and Head of Social Infrastructure, and Christine Phillips as Finance Director.
