NEINVER strengthens retail team with new Retail Director
NEINVER has announced the appointment of Natalie Schmidt as Retail Director, further strengthening one of the company’s strategic business areas. In her new role, Schmidt will report directly to Joan Rouras, NEINVER’s Leasing & Retail Director.
Schmidt will be responsible for shaping and delivering NEINVER’s global retail strategy, enhancing the overall commercial proposition and maximising brand performance across the 21 centres managed by NEINVER in six European countries: Germany, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Poland.
Commenting on the appointment, Joan Rouras, Leasing & Retail Director at NEINVER, said: “Natalie brings strong international experience and a deep knowledge of the retail business, both from a strategic and product perspective – key capabilities to address NEINVER’s upcoming challenges in the retail area. Her arrival will also support the further development of our relationships with our partners, in line with the company’s commitment to delivering greater added value for consumers.”
With more than 20 years of experience in the retail sector, Natalie Schmidt has built an extensive career across both domestic and international markets, holding senior positions within leading industry players. Before joining NEINVER, she served as Deputy Retail Director at Wertheim Village (The Bicester Collection) in Germany, where she led the retail strategy for premium brands.
Throughout her career, Schmidt has developed a strong track record with a particular focus on product, distribution and commercial strategy. Her professional experience includes roles as Product Distribution Manager at international companies such as VF Corporation, as well as positions at leading fashion brands including Oysho (Inditex Group) and Mango.
She later held several key leadership roles at Desigual, including Global Monobrand Director and Global Retail Outlet Director, overseeing business performance across international markets such as Europe, the United States, Japan and Canada. Her career also includes experience at CBRE.
Schmidt holds a degree in Psychology from Universitat Ramon Llull and a Master’s in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from the University of Barcelona. She has further complemented her academic background with specialist programmes in Retail Innovation and Sustainable Management at ESADE, among others.
