ICSC honours Stephen Pragnell with the 2014 Trustee’s Distinguished Service Award – EuropaProperty

The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) presented the Trustee’s Distinguished Service Award to Stephen Pragnell, formerly director of operations (retired), IKEA Shopping Centers Russia. The award is presented to ICSC members who have made special contributions to the industry and distinguished themselves as leaders within the organization. The awards were presented on ICSC’s RECon, the global retail real estate convention, May 18-20, 2014, in Las Vegas.

“Stephen has certainly left his mark on the industry through his outstanding service, and has left a legacy that will encourage other to do the same“ said Michael P. Kercheval, president and chief executive officer for ICSC. “We are honoured to have him as a member,” added Kercheval

Stephen Pragnell has been a long-standing, active member in ICSC since 1990, serving as committee chair for the ICSC European Shopping Centre Awards, and is founder and former President of the Polish Council of Shopping Centres, and a member of the French Council of Shopping Centres.

Stephen began his career in the retail real estate industry at Norwich Union, managing a portfolio of six shopping centers, before joining JLL in 1995. In 2002, he joined the Apsys Group, first as general manager of Apsys Polska in Warsaw, Poland, then in Paris as Group Director for External Relations. In 2009, he became the Director of Operations for IKEA Shopping Centers in Russia.
