IKEA to begin €50 million retail park in Belgrade

“We are very pleased that, despite the difficult circumstances due to the pandemic, we have managed to persevere in what is, we believe, an important investment for the city of Belgrade and the local community. We recently signed a contract with IT Tel & Vila Grad, a domestic company that, with over 800 employees, will be the main contractor. We also hope that our Serbian partners, who have been an important support to the project from the beginning, will soon complete the procedure related to the construction permit, so that the work can start as soon as possible,” commented Branko Mihajlov, the general manager of the project.

The foundation stone is expected to be laid at the beginning of this year. The retail park is expected to generate 400 new jobs.
