IMMOFINANZ begins the construction of STOP.SHOP Retail Park in Požarevac, Serbia – EuropaProperty

IMMOFINANZ has began the construction of its fifth STOP.SHOP retail park in Serbia. The complex is located in Požarevac and is scheduled to open its doors to the public in April 2018.

The construction of a new retail park is the first direct foreign investment in Požarevac in ten years and equals to around €10 million.

Located on Đure Đakovića Street, STOP.SHOP Požarevac will enjoy direct access to the main highway.

In the first phase, the project will encompass 7,000 sqm and leasable space, offering 16 retail units. According to the investor, the second construction stage will add an additional 3,000 sqm of retail space.

“Since entering the Serbian market in 2015, we have opened four successful STOP.SHOP retail parks in Niš, Čačak, Valjevo and Lazarevac. Due to this success, as well as the strong demand from tenants, we decided to pursue further expansion in the country,“ said Joško Piteža, Operations Manager at IMMOFINANZ for Serbia.

He added that the company is also scheduled to construct new STOP.SHOP retail parks in the Serbian towns of Vršac and Sremska Mitrovica in 2018.
