ISS, a global workplace experience and facility management company, has reached another major milestone in accessibility and inclusion. The second phase of the ISS Finance Service Centre (FSC) in Gdańsk has achieved a remarkable 9.6 out of 10 in the international Mobility Mojo certification, corresponding to the Platinum level – the second-highest score worldwide, tied with ISS’s own Warsaw Hub.
This recognition places the Gdańsk office among the world’s most accessible workplaces and reinforces ISS’s commitment to creating inclusive, people-centred environments that promote well-being, diversity, and belonging.
The newly certified area was designed and delivered entirely by the Polish ISS Capital Projects team. The project exemplifies how ISS’s in-house expertise – spanning design, construction and workplace management – can turn ESG and DEI principles into tangible results. Every element of the workspace reflects Universal Design principles, ensuring intuitive navigation, comfort and accessibility for all users, including people with physical, visual, auditory and neurodiverse needs. The achievement is also a testament to ISS Poland’s ability to deliver spaces that combine world-class accessibility standards with thoughtful, sustainable design.
The office offers a wide range of inclusive features, such as Quiet Rooms for focused work and sensory comfort, Reflection Rooms for rest and mental well-being, and a Lactation Room supporting parents at work. The outstanding score reflects not only the inclusive design of individual spaces but also the comprehensive approach to accessibility across the entire workplace. Top ratings were achieved in multiple areas – from changing rooms, hallways and corridors to breakout zones, event and meeting spaces, general facilities and workstations.
The assessment also recognised ISS’s strong focus on training and safety procedures, including disability awareness programmes for employees, ensuring that accessibility is embedded not just in the physical environment but also in the organisational culture. Accessibility solutions are integrated seamlessly into the environment, creating a space that is not only functional but also warm and human.
“Achieving this certification is an incredible milestone for our team,” said Paweł Rowicki, Head of Shared Services Transformation, ISS. “From the very beginning, our ambition was to achieve an even higher result than our first phase. This success shows that when accessibility and inclusivity are treated as priorities rather than additions, we can truly make a difference for our people. I am immensely proud of what we have built together.”
The design of the office draws inspiration from the port heritage of the TriCity area and Scandinavian design principles – simplicity, functionality, and human-centred thinking. The result is a workspace that genuinely supports people and business, combining ergonomic solutions, acoustic comfort, natural light, and biophilic design. Sustainable elements such as recycled materials, energy-efficient systems, and over 4,000 plants enhance both the well-being of users and the environmental footprint of the space.
The exceptional Mobility Mojo score would not have been possible without the Wave building – a flagship development by Skanska, where the ISS Finance Service Centre is located. “We are delighted that our tenant, ISS, shares our ambition for social responsibility and inclusive design. Wave was created as a space where everyone can feel comfortable and empowered, and it is inspiring to see partners like ISS taking this vision even further,” said Eliza Jamrozik, Leasing and Asset Manager at Skanska Commercial Development Europe.
Following the world’s first-ever Platinum rating achieved by ISS Hub in Warsaw, the Gdańsk FSC now stands as another strong example of how ISS continuously raises the bar in accessibility and workplace experience. The certification underscores the company’s global mission – connecting people and places to make the world work better.
