The Romanian retail market continues to attract new brands, thus the Jimmy Key company from Turkey, with over 30 years of experience in womenswear, will open the first store in Romania within the ParkLake Shopping Center in Bucharest, developed by Sonae Sierra. Jimmy Key has leased a space in the project through a transaction brokered by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.
Dana Radoveneanu, Head of Retail Agency, Cushman & Wakefield Echinox, commented: “Romania is a market that offers opportunities for the retailers active on all segments, and this has been seen through the large number of new brands that entered the local market in the last year – both fashion and food & beverage retailers. Attracted by the highly modern retail infrastructure and adapted to consumer behaviour, as well as by the particularities of the Romanian consumer, retailers see Romania as an attractive market for the implementation of their expansion plans. The opening of the first Jimmy Key store in Romania in ParkLake Shopping Center comes after a very careful analysis of Bucharest market and we are delighted to have contributed to the identify the space that best meets their business strategy.”
Romania is the fourth market where Jimmy Key is present, with the company having most of its stores in Turkey. Jimmy Key has grown exponentially over the years and has established itself as a household name in Turkey, with 60 standalone stores.
Elvan Unluturk, Chairperson of the Board Jimmy Key, commented: “Following its global expansion strategy, Jimmy Key has decided to launch its first store in Romania, which will be located in ParkLake Shopping Center and is expected to open by the second week of August. The opening of the first store in Romania marks a significant milestone for Jimmy Key, and the brand is excited to bring its unique style and fashion sense to this new market. In conclusion, we are grateful for the support and cooperation of Cushman & Wakefield Echinox during its first launch to the market and we cannot wait to reach more fashion enthusiasts around the world. Thus, Jimmy Key’s entry into the Romanian market is a significant milestone for the brand and a testament to its success. With plans to open more stores in the country over the next few years, Jimmy Key is set to become a leading fashion brand in Romania and the SEE region and, in the course of time, the globe. We proudly claim we have our signature in the fashion of the future”.
Over the next five years, Jimmy Key plans to open more than ten stores in Romania, as per its global strategy. The brand aims to establish itself as a leading fashion brand in the region, with stores in Turkey, Cyprus, Azerbaijan, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
