Kajima Poland Completes Amazon Fulfilment Centre

With more than 200,000 sqm of usable floor area across four storeys, a volume of 1.3 million cubic metres and technical infrastructure designed to support robotic systems, the Logistics Centre in Dobromierz, Lower Silesia, is an impressive development. Kajima Poland served as the general contractor for the facility, which was built for Amazon Fulfilment Poland.

Construction work lasted from April 2025 to September this year and included the execution of a large-scale storage and logistics hall along with complete accompanying infrastructure, encompassing over 79,000 sqm of high-quality paved surfaces, including 722 parking spaces for trucks, buses, and passenger cars. The facility was developed under the design & build formula, taking into account the technological requirements and advanced operational processes of one of the world’s largest e-commerce companies.

“The logistics centre in Dobromierz is a large-scale engineering project that required a fast pace of work while maintaining the highest quality standards. Our experienced team delivered a facility tailored in the smallest detail to a complex robotic system, reacting efficiently to the investor’s ongoing needs. Kajima Poland’s competence in modern industrial construction and advanced engineering knowledge allows us to efficiently and punctually implement the most complex facilities on the market,” says Maciej Runkiewicz, CEO of Kajima Poland.

The design and implementation process was conducted in a BIM environment, which allowed for precise planning and efficient coordination of construction works. Over 12,000 prefabricated elements, including more than 1,000 columns, were used to erect the 25-meter reinforced concrete structure with a steel roof. To eliminate vibrations and ensure the smooth movement of robots, a jointless floor with high flatness class and reinforced load capacity was executed, and only one structural expansion joint was used across the entire hall.

“The smooth implementation of large and complex projects depends not only on technical competence, but also on proper work organisation and a partnership with the investor. Transparent communication, flexibility in responding to design changes, and care for the client’s requirements are the foundation for building long-term cooperation for us,” adds Sandra Wróblewska, Senior Manager – Business Development at Kajima Poland.

The investment was carried out in accordance with BREEAM certification requirements.
