MAINFREIGHT, a global logistics provider, has signed a lease for close to 2,540 sqm of warehouse and office space in Panattoni Park Sosnowiec III. The tenant was represented in the transaction by the real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield.
As a global logistics provider, MAINFREIGHT offers warehousing, sea and air freight, and domestic as well as international road transport. It has branches across Asia, Australia, Europe, New Zealand and the Americas, and continues to expand its global reach; due to its broad scale of operations, it also needs warehouse space to meet specific technical requirements. That is why MAINFREIGHT decided to lease a warehouse with an area of close to 2,230 sqm and an almost 305 sqm office in Sosnowiec for its third branch in Poland.
“The new warehouse will help us to even better respond to the needs of our clients and to provide a more comfortable work experience in a larger setting. Proximity to Sosnowiec, Katowice and the S1 expressway is a major strength of our new location. In the new facility, we will open a cross-dock warehouse with eight loading docks for trucks, which will significantly improve servicing trucks leaving daily for Romania, Spain, France, Portugal and the Benelux countries. The new warehouse of MAINFREIGHT also features green energy-saving solutions and has been built to meet the requirements of BREEAM Very Good certification,” says Rafał Maciaszek, Branch Manager, MAINFREIGHT Europe.
“The client came to us with non-standard technical specification requirements. MAINFREIGHT was looking for a shallow facility with many loading docks. It also expected office space to meet set requirements, including a large open-plan office for all its employees and welfare facilities. Good access to daylight on the premises was also important.
