Within the coming months, one of the major Polish media publishers will move into its new headquarters in the West Station office complex completed by HB Reavis in the Ochota district in Warsaw. Marquard Media Polska signed a lease agreement for a total of 1,830 sqm of office space. Knight Frank acted on behalf of the tenant in the leasing process.
Maquard Media has been active on the Polish media market since 1992. Currently, it publishes magazines such as i.a. Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, JOY, HOT Moda, Shape, Playboy and CKM as well as a number of popular web pages.
“Marquard Media Polska is moving from its current downtown location in Warsaw to West Station for a reason,” said Artur Sutor, Director, Tenant Representation at Knight Frank. “After long years of presence in the strict city centre, we offered our Client an alternative to that location. We wanted the new place to have the same level of amenities and great, developed transport and service infrastructure around it. The new headquarters in West Station offer exactly what we have been searching for. It has the highest standard and can be easily accessed by transport. Trains leave every five minutes from the nearby train station, while West Station itself is only one stop away from the city centre. Apart from that, you can eat lunch or have a cup of coffee on the ground floor of the building.”
West Station is a joint venture by HB Reavis, PKP S.A. and Xcity Investment located on Aleje Jerozolimskie. It consists of the new building of the Warsaw West railway station and two 14-storey high office buildings. The second property will be completed in Q3 2017. The entire complex will then offer 68,000 sqm of space to let. The complex is BREEAM-certified on an ‘Excellent’ level.
