Transport and location for an “A”. Marynarska Business Park (MBP) received the extension of BREEAM In-Use with the Very Good rating and the result of 61.7 percent. for the next 12 months. Environmental certification is granted based on eight categories. The complex received the highest score – 100 percent, in the “waste management” segment. The “transport” was also rated very high – 83.33 percent. It was possible thanks to the location of the MBP, which despite the ongoing renovation works is well connected with the rest of the city. Near the property there are public transport stops, including Warsaw urban railway station and PKP Służewiec tram terminus. The users of the complex also have at their disposal an infrastructure prepared especially for cyclists – from external and internal bicycle parking spaces, through a self-service bicycle repair station, to locker rooms and showers for people traveling this way to work. It is also worth mentioning that the MBP is situated by the Marynarska junction of the North-South Route which connects the complex with the Warsaw Chopin Airport and with the Warsaw Southern By-pass and the A2 motorway.
“As the owner of the Marynarska Business Park complex, we have always been interested in meeting sustainable construction standards, limiting the impact on the natural environment, as well as ensuring the health and comfort of property users. Renewing the BREEAM In-Use environmental certificate with the Very Good result proves that the actions we undertake have their intended effects,” says Izabela Kapil, Vice President, Portfolio Management – Europe at Heitman.
Marynarska Business Park green since years. The complex has been first awarded the Building Research Establishment’s (BRE) BREEAM In-Use certificate in 2014. In order to obtain it, pro-ecological solutions have been introduced, such as a rationalized energy, heat and water consumption management system, or LED lighting. Sanitary fixtures are water-efficient and in the complex the ecological chemicals and hygienic materials are used. Maintaining environmental certification requires annual renewal and full audit every 3 years, which MBP underwent in 2017.
Marynarska Business Park consists of four modern buildings with a total office space of approximately 43,000 sqm. The complex is located in the business part of Służewiec, in one of the best locations in this area in terms of accessibility to public transport. Tenants can benefit from numerous facilities, among which there are bicycle infrastructure, access to such service premises as the LUX MED Group medical facility, Inmedio press point or the Meet & Eat restaurant.
