Mass Mutual takes Record Park to 94 percent occupancy

American insurer Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) chose Record Park as the best place to be outside Bucharest and started fitting out the office into one of the most innovative spaces in Cluj-Napoca.

Mass Mutual is currently in a full recruitment campaign, looking to attract over 100 talents in software development, data science and engineering, complementing the original Bucharest operation set-up last year in January in the center-West capital. The company will occupy the first floor in Record Park, namely 1,700 sqm class A office space overlooking Canalul Morii and the main plaza of the project.

“We are happy to officially welcome MassMutual in our unique project Record Park, proving that a complex project, and our focus on multiple uses benefiting residents, office occupiers or every-day guests, are actually creating appealing communities,” said Didier Balcaen, CEO and Co-Founder of Speedwell, the developer behind Record Park.

“The move marks one of the few office leasing transactions of the turbulent 2020, whilst MassMutual is undoubtedly the largest new-entrant in Romania,” highlighted Andreea Paun, Managing Partner Griffes, who coordinated the set-up and the leasing strategy for Mass Mutual.

With MassMutual moving in, Record Park reaches the 94 percent leasing dash, adding the powerful international name to an extensive line-up of tenants, amongst which MHP Porsche, Yardi, World Class or Stradale.

The Record Park office building was delivered in 2020 offering Cluj-Napoca a mix of 15,000 sqm office space. The project also includes 236 apartments, all anchored by leisure and recreation facilities, and balanced by consistent infrastructure improvements of the neighbourhood.
