MLP Group has officially inaugurated the construction of a new logistics park in the town of Spreenhagen in the German state of Brandenburg. The symbolic groundbreaking ceremony, attended by representatives of MLP Group, the general contractor LIST Bau Bielefeld, and local authorities – including Mayor Christine Reinhold – officially marked the start of the MLP Park Spreenhagen project. The completion of the investment is scheduled for the end of 2025.
The new logistics and industrial park is being developed on a plot of over 8.4 hectares, located just 15 kilometres from Berlin, directly adjacent to the A12 motorway, which connects the German capital with Frankfurt (Oder) and Poland. The proximity of Berlin Brandenburg Airport (approximately 20 km away) ensures excellent connectivity with both Eastern and Western Europe
“Germany remains a key strategic market in our expansion plans. As the largest economy in Europe, it offers immense growth potential. The launch of MLP Spreenhagen marks another milestone in reinforcing our footprint in the German market. This is our fifth project in Germany, with several more already in the pipeline. The Berlin-Brandenburg region stands out as a major hub of economic and logistics activity, attracting companies from around the world. Its proximity to the German capital, extensive motorway network, and close access to Berlin Brandenburg Airport provide optimal conditions for our future tenants to conduct both domestic and international operations,” emphasised Radosław T. Krochta, CEO of MLP Group S.A.
MLP Park Spreenhagen is the second investment by MLP Group in the Berlin-Brandenburg metropolitan region. Once completed, the project will offer approximately 39,000 sqm of modern space. The warehouse will have a height of over 12 meters and will provide flexible module sizes ranging from 3,500 sqm to 33,800 sqm, making it particularly attractive to companies in the light manufacturing, logistics, and retail sectors, including e-commerce.
The investment will complement the offering of the fully leased MLP Business Park Berlin in Ludwigsfelde, which is also located in Brandenburg and serves companies from the industrial and service sectors.
This is also the first project by MLP Group developed in collaboration with LIST Bau Bielefeld as the general contractor. The building will be constructed following sustainable development principles, including the installation of photovoltaic panels, electric vehicle charging stations, and heat pumps. The goal is to achieve a DGNB certification at the Gold level.
“We are proud to collaborate with MLP Group on this state-of-the-art project. From the outset, our LIST Eco team has been actively involved in the sustainability aspects, and our engineers are providing support in areas such as construction, civil engineering, and technical systems,” said Stephan Langer, Managing Partner at LIST Bau Bielefeld.
“Today’s ceremony marks an important step in the development of our next project in Germany. With its advanced infrastructure, flexible spaces, and proximity to Berlin, MLP Spreenhagen will be an attractive option for tenants from various sectors. We would like to thank the local authorities and LIST Bau for their trust and professional collaboration,” concluded Martin Birkert, Chief Country Officer Germany at MLP Group.
