Multi Poland’s operational director, Magdalena Gibney, has won this year’s Top Woman in Real Estate competition in the Asset & Property Management category.
Magdalena Gibney has been with Multi since 2017 and has worked in the commercial real estate industry for over 20 years. Multi Corporation, one of the largest asset management companies in Europe, manages over 80 properties in 12 countries in Europe and Turkey with a total GLA of 3 million sqm and a total value of over €8 billion. In Poland, the company manages six shopping malls and two office buildings.
Magdalena Gibney started her career in 2001 in asset and property management in Poland, Hungary and Romania. She was director of a shopping centre in Bucharest as well as a director of Silesia City Center in Katowice. Magdalena joined Multi in 2017 as Director of Forum Gdańsk, the seven times awarded shopping centre with an area of 64,000 sqm GLA is located in the centre of the city. She was responsible for the mall’s grand opening in 2018 and its ongoing operational strategy. In 2020 Magdalena was promoted to Head of Operations Poland. Her responsibility now covers all of the portfolio of commercial real estate managed by Multi Poland, i.e. Wrocław, Gdańsk, Poznań, Konin, Bielsko-Biała, Katowice and Szczecin with a total GLA of over 340,000 sqm.
“This nomination is all the more significant to me as the winners were selected by a jury composed of leading industry authorities,” said Magdalena Gibney. “What immediately struck me when I joined Multi, was that the company promotes the combined work of pan-European property management teams. In CEE I had never previously experienced such a comprehensive and integrated cross-regional approach to strategic management, commercialisation, operational procedures and activities, or even architectural design. So, awarding one person is actually a nomination for the entire Multi-team. And for this, I would like to thank all my colleagues from Poland and across Europe.”
“Magdalena is one of the best commercial property management experts in Poland,” said Frederic Rouleau, Country Asset Manager of Multi Poland. “We especially appreciate her unique knowledge gained in managerial positions in commercial facilities in Central Europe, her creativity and active attitude, as well as team management skills. We are thrilled that her professionalism has again been recognised by the industry and congratulate her on this fantastic commendation.”
