Fitness club chain My Fitness Place has leased 1,900 sqm of space in Skanska’s High5ive office building in Kraków, which is currently under construction. The club is due to open in March 2020 and the transaction was supported by advisory company Colliers International.
The High5ive office complex, which will include 5 buildings with a total area of 70,000 sqm, is being built on Pawia Street, next to Kraków Główny railway station. My Fitness Place will move into Building 4, the construction of which started in June this year. The first two buildings of the High5ive complex have already been delivered. When it comes to location, High5ive is the best situated office investment in Kraków in terms of its transport links. Among other already completed buildings, a green square will be available to city residents and office tenants to sit and relax. Building 4 will be certified at level LEED Platinium, and it will also have the “Obiekt bez Barier” [Building without Barriers] certificate. Estimated completion of Building 4, with an area of 24,500 sqm, is Q1 2020.
“High5ive is our biggest investment in Kraków so far. We are developing a workplace for companies with different activity profiles, and also a place for city residents. We have created Bike5ive – an important bike spot in Kraków – through which we want to promote a healthy lifestyle and cycling among our tenants. My Fitness Place fits into the character of High5ive perfectly,” says Marek Stasieńko, Regional Leasing Director at Skanska.
“The owners of My Fitness Place are focused on rapid development and they prefer prestigious, modern and well-located complexes to provide clients with the highest comfort and easy transport access. Fitness tenants are also beneficial for office owners. According to the Colliers’ report: “Shopping in office buildings”, fitness clubs and gyms located close to the workplace are one of the most desirable amenities among office workers,” says Michał Malicki, retail market expert at Colliers International.
