By the end of 2018, the center of Novi Sad is set to be enriched by a new, ultra-modern shopping center, developed by NEPI (New Europe Property Investments plc), a leading property investor and developer in emerging European markets. The new shopping center, located in the heart of Novi Sad, will be called Promenada Novi Sad and is an investment valued at nearly €100 million.
The shopping center will be the largest of its kind in Serbia and one of the largest in the region. Its total built area will be 150,000 sqm, a third of which will represent a leasable area that will host a full mix of international and local brands, catering to people of all ages.
Through its minimalistic and sophisticated architecture, Promenada Novi Sad promises to become a landmark building for the city. The modern designed floors will allow natural light to flood in, aiming to create a special and relaxing environment for its visitors.
The ground and first floors will feature an unparalleled selection of fashion retailers, while its second floor will be dedicated to multiple entertainment facilities. The mall will be anchored by a large hypermarket and will offer a multiplex cinema.
One of its main and most innovative elements will be the 10,000 sqm “green” roof. This rooftop area will feature sports fields, running tracks and garden cafés, offering visitors a stunning panoramic view of the Petrovaradin fortress and the Danube River.
Promenada Novi Sad will be positioned at the junction of Bulevar Oslobodjenja and Cara Lazara streets, neighbouring the largest sports center in the area. It will be conveniently accessible by car and public transportation from all parts of the town. For those arriving by car, the shopping center will offer around 2,300 indoor and outdoor parking spaces.
Besides offering the inhabitants of Novi Sad a unique shopping and entertainment destination, the project will have a significant positive economic impact, generating over 1,500 jobs.
In Serbia, NEPI is already operating the Kragujevac Plaza shopping mall and has under development two other retail properties: the Promenada Novi Sad shopping center and a retail park in Kruševac.
