Netto Polska has decided to expand its head office complex with the relocation to a new address. The company’s head office will occupy an area of 2,000 sqm in the Harmony Office Center II in Warsaw. A regional branch will continue to operate in the company’s existing headquarters in Szczecin. The comprehensive handling of the transaction was carried out by a JLL Poland team.
Harmony Office Center II is a building located in Warsaw’s Mokotów district. The modern complex comprises three office buildings, offering over 18,000 sqm of leasable space and over 400 parking spaces. The complex has a unique location – it is well-served by road and public transport but is still set in green surroundings. On the one hand, it is close to Pole Mokotowskie park, which is an important element of the capital’s ”urban green lungs”. On the other hand, the complex is not far from the centre of Warsaw, at the junction of Żaryna and Biały Kamień Streets, close to both the city’s important arterial routes and the Pole Mokotowskie metro station which is only 900 m away. This means that the city centre and Służewiec district are within easy reach.
“We appreciate that Netto Polska entrusted this transaction to JLL during such a significant moment for the company – moving its headquarters to the capital. I believe that our strategic approach to the process, including a comprehensive consulting package and an in-depth understanding of Netto Polska’s needs and philosophy, allowed us to choose the most suitable location for the head office team, and will ensure a comfortable working environment for Netto’s employees,” emphasises Martyna Jóźwik, Consultant in JLL’s Warsaw office.
The owner of the Harmony Office Centre II office complex in Warsaw is the Catalyst Core Plus European Property Fund (CCPEPF), managed by Catalyst Capital, which was represented in the transaction by Savills during the transaction.
“We are delighted that Netto has decided to rent an office in Harmony Office Centre II. We are convinced that the employees of our new tenant will appreciate the location close to the centre and surrounded by green areas. I would like to thank all parties involved in the transaction for good cooperation characterised by mutual understanding. In particular, I would like to thank our client – Catalyst Capital – for its long-standing cooperation and trust, which is reflected in the commercialisation success of this project,” says Lidia Malec, Savills.
The process of moving to the new premises will begin in the autumn of this year and is expected to be completed in spring 2023.
The relocation of Netto Polska’s head office is another important step just after the company’s Tesco conversion process and the expansion in eastern and southern Poland.
“Over the past year, Netto Polska has grown to 650 outlets nationwide following the acquisition of almost 300 Tesco shops. This is the perfect time to take steps in order to ensure further business development and expand the team to a size needed to support the company in its quest for further growth,” says Hugo Mesquita, Netto Polska CEO.
Approximately 20 percent of Netto Polska’s administration team will remain at the company’s current headquarters in Szczecin, and as a consequence, the company will continue to have a strong regional presence in western Poland, where its headquarters have been located since 1995.
