Newgate Investment has finalized another retail park acquisition this year. The company’s portfolio has been expanded with the Ozimska Park Opole project, covering an area of over 17,000 sqm (GLA). This project was developed on the site of a former retail complex and Tesco hypermarket. The seller was Redkom Development. This marks Newgate Investment’s third acquisition this year. Previously, the company purchased a retail park from Smart Park Poland, located in the border town of Zgorzelec, with an area of 5,488 sqm (GLA), as well as another Redkom Development project in Bielsko-Biała, also with an area of 17,000 sqm.
Currently, Newgate Investment’s portfolio consists of 33 retail properties valued at nearly €300 million, located across various Polish cities, with a total leasable area exceeding 150,000 sqm. The occupancy rate of the entire portfolio is almost 100 percent. Discussions are underway for the acquisition of additional retail properties.
Ozimska Park Opole is one of the largest projects in the region, offering a unique range of stores. The park is located at Ozimska Street 72, in a traditionally commercial area near the heart of Opole and close to provincial route 423. The project is well-served by 11 bus lines, and its extensive road network, along with parking for about 500 cars, makes it easily accessible for motorists.
“This is another property in a prime retail location that we are adding to our portfolio”, says Krystian Modrzejewski, Chief Investment Officer responsible for expanding Newgate Investment’s portfolio. “Ozimska Park Opole features stores from well-known brands that residents of the city and the surrounding area cannot find in any other retail facility in Opole or the entire Opole province. These include Woolworth, Dealz, Carry, and the Jula store. Our properties add value to both the city and its residents, as well as to tenants and investors, by offering exceptional retail and service options to local markets.”
Other tenants of Ozimska Park Opole include Kaufland, TEDi, Rossmann, Pepco, Sinsay, Media Expert, Vive Profit, Apteka Przyjazna, Hert Bakery, Inmedio, Kodano Optician, Orange, Xtreme Fitness Gyms, Itaka, Kuchenne Klimaty, Popolo Pizza & Pasta, and the Sphinx restaurant. The project also offers ATMs, parcel lockers, electric vehicle chargers, and a specially designed relaxation zone.
