P3 Logistic Parks (“P3”) has inaugurated an accommodation building for the staff employed in the P3 Bucharest A1 logistics park. The project is located in the centre of the park in the neighbourhood of the self-service restaurant and, altogether, completes the list of facilities offered to companies within the park. The idea behind the development of this project came from the need to meet the labour crisis that tenants are facing and, since its opening, it has been a success, with 100 percent occupancy.
Sînziana Pardhan, Managing Director of P3 in Romania, said: “Demand in the logistics and storage space segment remains dynamic. Therefore, it is very important for us as a developer to adapt to the ever-changing requirements and needs of our partners and to support them in dealing with the problems they face, in the context of the labour crisis. The new facility offers a higher degree of comfort for the occupants and we hope this will contribute to long-term employee retention. At the same time, I am delighted to observe that the initiative has been appreciated and was well-received by tenants. The project has managed to record the maximum occupancy rate even before delivery.”
The building occupies an area of approximately 2,000 sqm, with 63 rooms furnished and equipped with a refrigerator, TV, air conditioning and wi-fi. Each floor has a kitchen and a laundry room, and a social area on the ground floor, with direct access to a specially designed recreation space. The total capacity of the accommodation unit is 252 people, and one of the initial tenants is ID Logistics, the company that provides logistical services to the French group Carrefour, which has leased a total area of 687 sqm.
Paul Niță, General Manager of ID Logistics, said: “For ID Logistics it is very important to offer the highest quality services to our customers, that is why people and the quality of the work environment are a priority for us. The teams assigned to each warehouse vary depending on the volumes operated in each space, and the warehouses within the P3 Bucharest A1 park require a consistent number of operators (food products with and without temperature control). We also have our challenges with the lack of labour and with employee retention, and P3 came in time with this idea to develop a multifunctional project of accommodation and self-service restaurants right within the logistics park. The new unit fits our needs very well, thus allowing for both increased comfort and productivity for our colleagues. Beyond these benefits, we look forward to meeting a team of professionals, open and flexible, who pay close attention to both the tenants and the operational teams in the warehouses.”
