Panattoni Europe developing a 6,000 sqm factory for Skamol in Opole – EuropaProperty

Panattoni Europe has started the construction of a factory commissioned by Skamol A/S – a Danish manufacturer of a wide range of insulation solutions for industry and construction. The BTS facility featuring 6,000 sqm will be delivered in the BTO formula in Opole, at the special economic zone WSSE Invest Park. The contract was mediated by Colliers International, and the completion of works is anticipated in April 2017.

The present investment will be Skamol’s fifth production plant – the investor already has three factories in Denmark and one in Russia. The choice of Opole was dictated by the ample supply of raw materials in the region, the dynamically growing market, as well as the academic potential and easy access to university graduates, particularly from the Opole University of Technology.

Marek Foryński, Managing Director BTS Group at Panattoni Europe, also views Opole as a popular location: “The city is very well communicated with other regions of Poland, it has considerable growth potential, offers attractive opportunities for investors and access to a qualified labour pool. Many companies wishing to be stay close to our western border decide to base their business in Opole, rather than for instance Wrocław, which according to many is a challenging location in terms of access to human resources.”
