Panattoni Europe, market leader in industrial real estate in Europe, will develop a manufacturing facility for Pilkington IGP. The project will take up more than 10,000 sqm at Panattoni Park Białystok. Production will be launched by early September this year, and at the initial stage of operations the plant will employ 200 people.
NSG Group and its subsidiary Pilkington IGP choose Panattoni Europe one more time. Following the completion of the innovative automotive glass factory in Tarnobrzeg, the developer is set to build a manufacturing plant for Pilkington IGP which will make glass units and metal racks for glass. The 10,000-square-metre facility (9,113 sqm industrial space and 936 sqm social and office space) will be delivered as part of Panattoni Park Białystok. Operations will be launched as early as the beginning of September 2018, and for their purposes the plant will initially employ 200 people. The lease was signed for 10 years.
The development of a processing plant by Panattoni Europe will strengthen Pilkington’s position in the region, as well as facilitate customer service. The facility will feature four state-of-the-art production lines making glass units with glass cutting systems. A glass tempering furnace will be installed, too. According to Krzysztof Granicki, President of the Board and Managing Director of Architectural Glass Products in Poland and Processed Glass Products in Northern Europe: “This is another investment by NSG Group in Białystok. The Białystok branch of Pilkington IGP has been in operation for many years, and the dynamic growth of the window industry in Poland coupled with advantageous conditions for business development in the region have tipped the scales in favors of further investments in Białystok.”
Dorota Jagodzińska, Managing Director, Panattoni Europe emphasises that “Białystok is the largest and the fastest-growing city in the Podlasie region, which attracts numerous investors from both Poland and abroad. Panattoni Park Białystok is an excellent choice, especially for businesses which feel the potential and the need to develop in the region. The logistics centre itself, a multi-tenant project, is designed for occupiers representing various business sectors – from logistics through to production – just like Pilkington IGP. With such flexibility, 50 percent of the project has already been taken up and our doors are open to more new tenants.”
Panattoni Park Białystok is an up-and-coming investment by the developer, featuring 40,620 sqm of space, situated within the administrative city limits of Białystok, not far from the city bypass and 60 km from the border crossing in Kuźnica. The investment is approx. 1 km away from the European route E67 (road S8), connecting Wrocław, Łódź, Warsaw and Białystok, which guarantees very good connectivity with major markets at home and abroad. Once the upgrade of the S8 motorway is completed, the city will gain importance on the logistics map. The fact that the park lies within the city limits makes for convenient access from and to the city centre, also by public transport as there are bus stops in the vicinity.
