Panattoni Europe recognised as the leader of the build-to-suit (BTS) industrial space sector in Central and Eastern Europe in the CEE Manufacturing Excellence & Industrial Property Awards. During the gala ceremony, the company picked up three awards in the following categories: BTS Developer of the Year, BTS Project of the Year under 20,000 sqm and BTS Project of the Year over 50,000 sqm. The event took place on 16 June 2016 at the InterContinental Hotel Warsaw.
Panattoni Europe claimed three trophies at this year’s edition of the CEE Manufacturing Excellence & Industrial Property Awards 2016. The jury responsible for choosing the BTS Developer of the Year recognised Panattoni Europe’s business achievements, including record-breaking results for 2015 – the company delivered more new space than its competitors in Poland and the Czech Republic, that is as much as 692,000 sqm (with 499,550 sqm in Poland alone), and at year-end had 637,000 sqm under development in the CEE region. It also expanded its European operations by opening offices in Romania, completed such projects as: the first brilliant factory of GE Energy Management in Europe featuring 45,000 sqm and the 133,000 sqm distribution centre for Amazon in the Czech Republic, and continued the development of its own parks in the industry’s major as well as secondary locations. As a result, Panattoni Europe was named BTS Developer of the Year and won two additional BTS Project of the Year titles.
The title of BTS Project of the Year under 20,000 sqm was awarded to Panattoni Europe for the execution of the manufacturing facility for Bombardier Transportation (19,377 sqm) which will make modern body shells for passenger trains, including ICx high-speed trains. In turn, the BTS Project of the Year 2016 over 50,000 sqm was won by the developer with the Amazon order fulfilment centre in the Czech Republic. The 133,000 sqm investment was recognised not only due to its imposing size, but also for its positive impact on the environment and innovative sustainable development solutions. These have been certified under the BREEAM International system with the “Excellent” rating and 76.8 percent score, which is the highest score ever awarded to an industrial building in this certification system worldwide.
CEE Manufacturing Excellence & Industrial Property Awards are dedicated primarily to manufacturing projects, but also to build-to-suit (BTS) developments, and are organised by the EuropaProperty magazine. The event also provides opportunities to discuss the key factors affecting the manufacturing sector. That is why the evening award ceremony was preceded by a forum, where business opportunities for manufacturing investments were debated and explored. The winners were selected by a jury composed of independent professionals from the manufacturing sector as well as international industry experts, and the entire award procedure was overseen by EY – one of the world’s largest advisory organisations.
