Panattoni leases warehouse space to Żabka. The owner of the chain will take up approx. 13,500 sqm in two of the developer’s locations – 9,338 sqm at Panattoni Park Poznań IV, and 4,179 sqm at City Logistics Łódź II. The tenant will start operations at the new locations as of June and September respectively.
By engaging in collaboration with Żabka, Panattoni adds another industry leader to its portfolio. The chain of convenience stores – small “neighbourhood” retail establishments – has grown to more than 6,000 outlets in the 21 years it has been on the market. As part of the development of the logistics function, Żabka has leased warehouse space at Panattoni Park Poznań IV in Komorniki (9,338 sqm) and at City Logistics Łódź II (4,179 sqm), two major spots on the logistics map of Poland. The tenant will start operations at the location in Greater Poland in June, and in Central Poland – in September. The leases were brokered by the advisory firm Colliers International.
As part of the project for Żabka, Panattoni will put in place a range of amenities to enhance the safety of products delivered by the enterprise. The facilities will feature advanced cold storage and freezer rooms, thermal buffers, as well as modern offices and standard warehouse space. The project in Greater Poland provides for Panattoni putting in numerous partitions inside the building, tailored to the tenant’s operations. At the facility in Łódź, the developer will deliver a complex process to provide a standard warehouse park with numerous docks, arranged in the shape of an L.
The double deal with the grocery store chain was commented on by Katarzyna Kujawiak, Development Director from Panattoni: “Advanced solutions mean product responsibility, as well as the pursuit of a strong market position. In creating an ideal facility, it is very helpful to have a tenant with an open mind, who appreciates our experience and is happy to rely on it. All our joint efforts contribute to building a trustworthy business, attentive to its entire supply chain, starting with a technologically sophisticated warehouse.”
Well-placed warehouses. The facilities to be occupied by Żabka feature class A warehouse space, with advanced solutions and layout tailored to the occupier operations. Both have excellent locations, too. Panattoni Park Poznań IV in Komorniki finds itself near two motorway junctions – Komorniki and Poznań Zachód – on the A2 motorway, connecting the most important logistics locations in Europe: Łódź, Warsaw and Berlin. The park is also in the vicinity of the nearly completed S5 route, which will connect Poznań with Wrocław in the south and Olsztyn in the north. In turn, City Logistics Łódź II is one of the developer’s urban warehouses, located just 5 km from the city centre, which makes for an efficient commute using municipal transport, as well as providing tenants with an easy access to a qualified labour pool. At the same time, the facility lies 4 km from the Łódź Wschód junction on the A1 motorway, and approx. 30 km from the Łódź Północ junction, where the A1 (connecting the north of Poland with the south) intersects with the A2 (running east-west).
