MLP Group has completed phase two expansion of MLP Bucharest West, its logistics park near Romania’s capital city. The new facility has delivered 16,000 sqm of space designed to contemporary standards, which has already been fully leased. Preparations are now underway to move forward to phase three. Located in Romania’s main warehouse hub, MLP Bucharest West will ultimately offer a total of 99,000 sqm of space.
“Completion of the second phase of our MLP Bucharest project marks a significant milestone for us. We have delivered as promised according to plan. Beginning the development on a speculative basis, we’re delighted to see the newly constructed warehouse space fully leased by now. The project’s timely completion was possible thanks to the collaborative efforts of our entire team and partners. Moving forward, we plan to further expand MLP Bucharest West, a project distinguished by its excellent location and finished to a high standard, making it a sought-after choice for tenants. We expect that phase three will soon be ready for launch,” commented Olga Melihov, Country Head of Romania at MLP Group S.A.
“Words of appreciation to our entire Romanian team for their commitment to the project. This development in Romania aligns with our ongoing foreign expansion, concentrated mainly on the German and Austrian markets. Nevertheless, we are steadfast in our resolve to strengthen our presence also in this part of Europe. Our strategic focus is on key warehouse locations. Bucharest is Romania’s most attractive region and its main industrial hub. We still maintain a substantial potential for continued expansion and operational upscaling there,” said Agnieszka Góźdź, Member of the Management Board and Chief Development Officer at MLP Group S.A.
Situated within Romania’s most popular warehouse hub, at the ring road in Bucharest’s north-western district of Chitila, MLP Bucharest West is an ideal location for distribution and logistics operations. It is a Class A industrial and logistics development on an 18.3 ha plot that will eventually provide 99,000 sqm of warehouse space, with numerous amenities and excellent road infrastructure. By MLP Group’s standards, the new project meets the highest environmental sustainability standards and is to be BREEAM certified.
