PubNub, an American technology company, has started its operations in its first branch in Poland located in .KTW I office building in Katowice owned by TDJ. Fit-out works on behalf of the new tenant were supervised by Knight Frank, a leader on the market of commercial properties in Poland which also represented PubNub in the course of lease negotiations.
PubNub, a tech company from Silicon Valley, specializes in real time data presentation solutions. Its Katowice office will employ approx. 30 people and specialize in R&D.
“One of the most important reasons for choosing Katowice as the location of our branch was the fact that it has been one of the most dynamically growing technology centers in Europe. We begin by leasing 350 sqm of office space but we count on dynamic growth. We are perfectly aware of the importance of the office, its fit-out and location, especially as regards recruitment. Due to its location, the .KTW I office building fully lives up to our expectations. We are very happy to be working with Furniko, the provider and originator of our office concept, and with other Knight Frank consultants who have been supporting us in the process of office selection and negotiations, and supervising fit-out works,” said Marcin Jurków, Human Resources Lead, PubNub.
“We are glad that potential contracting parties are interested in commercial facilities for which we have been co-managing project monitoring. Knight Frank was responsible for taking into account, by TDJ, the tenant’s advanced requirements in a pre-agreed budget and then for the supervision over office space arrangement. PubNub wanted to ensure above-standard and top quality working environment for its future staff. The newly arranged space at .KTW I will definitely meet high demands of the tech company which has opened its fist branch in Poland,” adds Krzysztof Babczyk, Senior Technical Manager at Knight Frank.
Fully operational since June 2018, .KTW I is one of the first buildings of the .KTW complex located in the direct neighborhood of the sports and entertainment arena Spodek, the International
Congress Centre, the seat of the Polish Radio National Symphony Orchestra and the Silesian Museum. The office building is unique thanks to its exceptional architectural style and functional technical and pro-ecological solutions. At present, next to the existing building which now houses such global brands as Fujitsu, EY, mBank and PubNub, the .KTW II office building is under construction. In total 62,000 sqm of modern office space in the complex in the Katowice Culture Zone will be delivered to the market.
