Redkom Development has started construction of its retail park in Tarnów after appointing SPEC BAU Polska as the project’s general contractor.
The development, one of the largest retail park schemes currently under construction in southern Poland, will deliver around 35,000 sqm of gross leasable area (GLA), including an Agata furniture store. Located on one of Tarnów’s main transport routes, the project will comprise nearly 30 retail and service units.
“SPEC BAU Polska has extensive experience in commercial construction and a proven track record of delivering projects of this scale. We are confident they are the right partner to deliver this development to the quality and timetable we have set,” said Michał Szwedzicki, Project Director at Redkom Development.
The scheme has already secured a broad tenant mix spanning convenience retail, fashion, home furnishings, electronics and leisure. A Cinema City multiplex will form part of the development, adding a leisure element alongside the retail offer.
“Around 90% of the retail space has already been secured, with most of it covered by signed lease agreements and the remainder at the final stage of commercial negotiations. The project has attracted a strong mix of well-established brands, creating a balanced offer that will serve both residents and the wider region,” said Elżbieta Kutrasińska, Head of Leasing at Redkom Development.
Confirmed occupiers include Lidl Polska, JULA, CCC, Worldbox and Shock Price (MODIVO S.A.), Rossmann, Martes Sport, Pepco, TEDi, Ochnik, Sinsay, Media Expert, RTV Euro AGD, Dr Materac, Xtreme Fitness Gyms and Cinema City.
Redkom Development has delivered around 100,000 sqm of retail park space across Poland, including BIG Łubna, Ozimska Park, Comfy Park Bielik, Przystanek Karkonosze, BIG Dzierżoniów and Comfy Park Bydgoszcz.
The company currently has three further projects under construction: Świderek Retail Park in Otwock, a retail and leisure development in Lublin, and a retail park in Białystok. Together, they will deliver more than 50,000 sqm of GLA, with all three scheduled to open before the end of 2026.
