A new retail park is being built in Bielsko-Biała, replacing the former Tesco store on Warszawska Street. The project has a new owner, Newgate Investment, who bought it from Redkom Development. Newgate Investment specializes in managing retail properties and currently has 31 properties with a total area of more than 140,000 sqm, with nearly full occupancy.
The retail park is scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2024 and will offer 17,000 sqm of space, housing around 30 shops and services, making it the largest retail park in Bielsko-Biała. It will also feature a parking lot for 500 cars and a Burger King Drive-thru restaurant, which will make it more attractive to residents.
The new retail park, along with nearby large stores like Castorama and Merkury Market, is expected to become a key shopping destination in the area and change the shopping habits of the city’s residents.
Mallson Polska is assisting Redkom Development with leasing the retail spaces. Tenants will include well-known brands like Kaufland, Sinsay, TEDi, Jysk, Media Expert, Kodano Optyk, Xtreme Fitness Gyms, and KiK.
Even though Redkom Development sold the project, they are still responsible for its construction and commercialization. This sale is Redkom’s second major transaction in the second quarter of 2024, following the sale of Park Glinianka near Warsaw in April to the BIG group.
Łukasz Komierowski, CEO of Redkom Development, expressed his satisfaction with the partnership with Newgate Investment, stating that the new retail park will be a significant shopping destination for the region. Krystian Modrzejewski, Investment Director at Newgate Investment, emphasized that the new retail park will meet the needs of the local community and is part of their expanding Comfy Park brand network. He also mentioned that Newgate is in advanced negotiations to acquire additional retail properties in key locations
