Redkom Development is set to deliver a landmark retail park in Tarnów, marking a significant step in the evolution of the format in Poland. Located on Lwowska Street (DK73), the scheme will be among the first retail parks in the country to incorporate a Cinema City multiplex – bringing entertainment into a format traditionally focused on convenience retail.
The project reflects a broader shift in Poland’s retail landscape, where retail parks are rapidly increasing in scale, attracting stronger tenant mixes, and expanding their functionality. Entertainment, long associated with shopping centres, is now becoming an integral part of this segment.
The Tarnów development will be the largest retail park in the city, offering approximately 35,000 sqm of gross leasable area across nearly 30 units. Confirmed tenants include Lidl Polska, with Agata Meble also joining the scheme.
A key feature of the project will be the Cinema City multiplex. Cinema City Poland, part of the Regal Cineworld Group, operates 35 cinemas across 21 cities nationwide and is known for its advanced cinema technologies and premium viewing experience. The Tarnów location will feature modern projection and sound systems, comfortable seating, and a diverse film programme, including both new releases and classic titles.
The integration of a cinema is expected to significantly enhance the attractiveness and functionality of the retail park, introducing a strong leisure component and extending dwell time. It also signals a growing convergence between retail parks and traditional shopping centres.
“We are seeing a clear shift in the role of retail parks,” said Aleksander Kowalski, Senior Leasing Manager at Redkom Development. “They are no longer purely retail destinations—projects like Tarnów demonstrate their potential to successfully combine shopping and entertainment.”
The opening of the scheme is scheduled for 2027, positioning it as one of the most notable commercial developments in southern Poland.
