Rohlig SUUS Logistics continues to expand its operations across Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The largest Polish logistics operator has entered into a partnership with PFR Group, which will co-finance the further development of the company’s international operations. The project also involves KUKE, which provides insurance coverage for business risks. It is another international expansion project of a Polish company delivered under the Team Poland framework.
The cooperation with PFR is part of Rohlig SUUS Logistics’ long-term strategy to build a leading position across the CEECA region, encompassing Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The financing provided by Foreign Expansion Fund 2 (Fundusz Ekspansji Zagranicznej 2 FIZ AN), managed by PFR TFI, a member of PFR Group, will support the further strengthening of the company’s presence in these markets and the implementation of new growth initiatives. In total, the project will cost around €30 million, of which €10 million will come from the Foreign Expansion Fund.

CEECA – a region of growing importance for business
The potential of the CEECA region is reflected in the growing number of companies expanding their international operations across the area. Central and Eastern Europe is one of the most attractive investment destinations for global businesses, supported by trends such as nearshoring.
An increasing number of companies are building multi-country structures across the CEE region, treating it as a single economic and logistics ecosystem. At the same time, businesses from the region are pursuing international expansion more confidently, leveraging geographical proximity and market similarities as a natural path for growth. Ukraine is also attracting growing attention from the business community, as its reconstruction is expected to become one of the most significant economic and logistics projects in Europe in the years ahead.
Meanwhile, Central Asia, particularly Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, is gaining importance as a promising market amid geopolitical shifts and the growing need for diversification. Strong economic growth, young populations and rising consumer demand are attracting increasing interest from investors worldwide, while Polish companies are also steadily strengthening their presence across the region.
Team Poland supports the international growth of Polish companies
The partnership between Rohlig SUUS Logistics and the PFR confirms the conviction of Polish development institutions that the expansion of family businesses can be one of the new engines of growth for the entire economy. Furthermore, foreign expansion can be more effective when private enterprise is combined with long-term financing and institutional support. This cooperation is part of the Team Poland idea, which represents a new paradigm for state action in supporting foreign expansion. This is a systemic approach where development institutions work together in a coordinated and business-oriented manner. Team Poland combines the potential and competencies of entities from the Polish Development Fund Group with the experience of Polish firms developing their operations in international markets.
