Schneider has purchased a production hall from Wienerberger. The hall is located near Złotoryja and is in the Legnica Special Economic Zone. In December 2015 Schneider will launch the production of steel baskets and containers aimed at transportation and storage distributed mainly on the German market. The value of the transaction is confidential.
The scheme purchased by Schneider offers 3,300 sqm of industrial space as well as 500 sqm of office space. The entire area’s space totals around 3 ha.
The owner of Schneider Pojemniki Transportowe, Kai Uwe Schneider commented: “Schneider has over 50 years of experience on the German market and provides products for giants such as BMW, Volkswagen, Daimler AG, Bosch, Siemens and Continental. For us, the most important elements are: the highest quality of product and customer service as well as caring for our employees. We are planning to employ 100 workers in our new factory. A recruitment drive has already been launched.”
JLL supported Schneider in the process of selecting a location and the negotiation of purchase terms. Joanna Choromańska, Business Development BTS Manager at JLL, commented: “We specifically searched for a conveniently located production hall which was able to adjust to Schneider’s business requirements as well as provide space for future expansion. As the production is aimed at the German market, the factory’s location in close proximity to the border was of crucial importance. The biggest challenge of the whole process was the limited supply of available halls with concrete parameters and where operations could be swiftly launched with only small adjustments to the client’s needs.”
