Skanska completes the acquisition of another plot in Holešovice, Prague, for Port7 office campus – EuropaProperty

Skanska Property Czech Republic continues to build unique projects in Prague 7. It has currently completed the acquisition of another plot in Holešovice, where it will build an administrative centre with a unique riverbank atmosphere right next to the Vltava called Port7.

Skanska is planning to build a campus in the area, which will be an independent mini-city within the city with perfect public transportation access. Project Port7, with an overall space of 48,000 sqm, is not just a modern office centre with a unique atmosphere. A new area with all necessary amenities – i.e. stores, restaurants, kindergarten, hotel or premises for short-term accommodation – will be built on the bank of the Vltava river in Holešovice. Skanska will not forget about the leisure activities that are perfect for this location. In the design, the project includes many green spaces where people can relax after work and exercise.

“The project’s uniqueness is its proximity to the bank of the Vltava river, which gives us the opportunity to build a space with an extraordinary atmosphere,” said Marie Passburg, the Managing Director of Skanska Property Czech Republic. “People working in Port7 will, for example, be able to use a ‘floating’ meeting room. The campus will also include a harbour for motorboats and smaller boats. The waterfront and piers will be the site of cultural and social events of all types.”

Skanska plans to start construction during 2019.

Holešovice is currently one of the fastest growing parts of Prague and is becoming more and more sought after by developers and tenants alike. This is because the neighbourhood is easily accessible by public transportation – there is a metro station, bus station and tram stop nearby – and the location has a lot of potential.
