Hilton has announced the opening of two new Spark by Hilton properties in northern Poland under a franchise agreement with Grupa Hotele Polskie. This marks the national debut of Hilton’s premium economy brand. The two new hotels will add a total of 226 rooms and are expected to welcome guests within six months.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, Senior Vice President of development, EMEA, Hilton, said: “We are thrilled to introduce the Spark by Hilton brand to Poland, meeting the growing market demand for premium economy accommodations. This segment appeals to both business and leisure travellers. With over 100 million visitors expected to Poland in 2025, the two new Spark properties will complement Hilton’s existing portfolio of 30 hotels across the country and the global Spark by Hilton network of 275 operating and pipeline properties. These hotels further diversify our offerings in Poland, expanding our portfolio to cater to an even broader range of traveller preferences.”
The 161-room Spark by Hilton Pobierowo, set to open in December 2024, will be located in Pobierowo, a popular seaside resort on the northwest Baltic coast. The hotel offers convenient access via major road networks and is approximately one hour’s drive from the Szczecin-Goleniów “Solidarity” International Airport. Amenities include a restaurant, lobby bar, retail shop, and a conference hall for up to 350 guests, along with recreational facilities such as pools, a gym, saunas, and a spa.
The 65-room Spark by Hilton Krynica Morska, opening in spring 2025, is situated in Krynica Morska on the Vistula Spit, renowned for its pristine beaches and popularity during the summer season. Located about 90 km from Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa International Airport, the hotel features a restaurant, a lobby bar, a kids’ club, and relaxation facilities including two saunas, a salt room, and a pool.
The Spark by Hilton brand delivers exceptional quality for guests while providing an attractive proposition for hotel owners and operators. Designed to facilitate cost-efficient conversions, it offers unique opportunities for existing properties, redefining the premium economy segment by focusing on guest experience and maintaining a consistent design across all hotels.
