Stokrotka was founded in Lublin in 1994 and now comprises close to 900 stores throughout Poland. It offers a vast array of consumer goods at attractive prices, with a special focus on fresh produce, products from local suppliers and its own branded products. To accommodate its growth and logistics needs, Stokrotka has leased close to 6,300 sqm of warehouse space and around 200 sqm of office space in Fortress Logistics Park Bydgoszcz. The facility is fully tailored to meet the tenant’s needs.
“Stokrotka continues to go from strength to strength, consistently increasing the number of stores throughout the country and adding around 100 new retail units to its chain every year. The efficiency of our logistics system is therefore very important to us. That’s why we are steadily expanding our chain of warehouses. Its efficiency allows us to grow further and to provide customers uninterrupted access to fresh produce, which is our key focus,” says Mirosław Wawryszczuk, Board Member and Head of Sales and Marketing, Stokrotka.
“This deal marks yet another transaction we have completed together. This time, our client – the Stokrotka grocery chain – will join the roster of tenants of an industrial park developed by Fortress in Bydgoszcz. In addition to expanding its network of warehouses throughout Poland, Stokrotka is also reporting a growing demand for larger facilities. This time the tenant will take close to 6,500 sqm of warehouse and office including a cold store. We are pleased that we were able to act on this transaction and we keep our fingers crossed for Stokrotka’s unwavering growth,” says Kamil Żach, Associate, Industrial & Logistics Agency, Cushman & Wakefield.
Fortress Logistics Park Bydgoszcz will provide a total of 90,000 sqm at full build-out. It will comprise six class A warehouses designed to meet the requirements of modern warehousing and logistics. A 12-metre clear height, a floor load capacity of 7 t/sqm and a fire load density of over 4,000 MJ/sqm, to name just a few, are all part of the technical specification offered by Fortress, which continues to set new standards on the Polish industrial and logistics market. The park boasts a prime location – it is situated 15 km from the centre of Bydgoszcz and an access road to the A1 motorway and S10 expressway.
“We are delighted that our park has been selected by yet another company, which is all the more satisfying given the fact that the leased space is in the first building developed by Fortress in Europe on its own. We have fulfilled the requirements of one of the FMCG leaders, which is confirmation that our strategy of delivering future-proof buildings is right. As part of our Asset Management measures, we will do our best to deliver the highest quality of property management services to both Stokrotka and other tenants of our parks,” adds Aleksander Kobyliński, Senior Leasing & Asset Manager, Fortress REIT Limited.
