Technoform, an international company specializing in producing plastic profiles and tubes, has decided to open its first production factory in Poland. Panattoni developed the build-to-suit property of approximately 9,400 sqm. AXI IMMO was the exclusive agent representing the tenant in the process of selecting the location, negotiating the lease terms, as well as assisting in the selection of a subcontractor for the fit-out of the office space.
Tomasz Tarnowski, Managing Director, Technoform, said: “2023 will be a special year in the history of Technoform in Poland. After years of running our business and using infrastructure based outside the country, we have decided to open a local production facility and an A-grade warehouse centre. It’s a great ennoblement and distinction, as well as an additional motivation to increase the intensity of operations in the region. The role of a local leader obliges, so finding a suitable location for our new production centre, we decided to work with a professional consultant who will take care of and coordinate all the processes related to them”.
Marta Nowik, Director, Industrial & Logistics, AXI IMMO, said: “The start of production eight months after the signing of the lease agreement at the new Technoform facility proves that despite the low availability of vacant industrial space in Krakow, among other cities, developers are capable of meeting the requirements of tenants and delivering the expected space quickly and on time”.
Technoform’s new location comprises 8,400 sqm of production and warehouse space, as well as a modern office and social area of nearly 1,000 sqm.
Marta Nowik, adds, “The new production facility will also be Technoform’s new headquarters in Poland. The Client wanted the factory building and office space to be representative and modern and to refer to the solutions used to those known from A-class office buildings. The investment prepared by developer Panattoni perfectly matched the Client’s assumptions.”
Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director, Panattoni, points out: “Technoform is a major market player that has been building its position for several decades. When such a company sets its sights on developing in the region, it confirms the huge potential of both Krakow and its surroundings, as well as Skawina itself, which has become a zone of industrial activity, concentrating the activities of powerful international brands. Malopolska proves it is a good place to locate manufacturing plants, which in the era of reindustrialization in Europe is becoming a huge asset.”
The Technoform BTS investment was developed within Panattoni Park Kraków West III. The logistics centre is located in Skawina, about 20 km southwest of the centre of Kraków, near the junction of the A4 highway and National Road 44. The warehouse park meets the latest requirements for BREEAM environmental certification at the Excellent level.
