Property development company 7R has officially delivered the first stage of Krakow Kokotów–Brzegi Logistics Park. The last facility that was developed as part of this investment and has just been delivered to the tenant is the manufacturing plant for Teekanne – one of the largest tea manufacturers in Europe.
On 2 June in Brzegi near Krakow, within the Wieliczka Economic Activity Zone, 7R officially opened the first stage of Krakow Kokotów–Brzegi Logistics Park, which comprises four warehouses for lease with a total area of almost 54,000 sqm. The last completed building, with an area of over 6,000 sqm, successfully underwent the technical acceptance process and has been delivered to the tenant. The building is a BTS facility designed specifically for Teekanne and will become the company’s main manufacturing facility in Poland as well as another milestone in its development on the Polish market. Apart from the manufacturing area, the building consists of warehouse and office space and social facilities for employees. The building was developed in line with standards applicable to all Teekanne’s manufacturing plants in Europe.
Four warehouses for lease have already been developed within the Wieliczka Economic Activity Zone. Three of them are multi-tenant buildings which are intended for multiple tenants operating under one roof. The buildings’ areas are 13,000, 14,000 and 20,700 sqm, respectively. 7R’s tenants at Krakow Kokotów–Brzegi Logistics Park include such companies as Universal Express Distribution, Pekaes, Grupa Kapitałowa Specjał, JAS FBG, Excellent, PGD Polska and Rhenus Logistics.
“Recent months have been the most dynamic period in 7R’s history. The upcoming quarters are going to be challenging – we are planning the next stage of development of the Kokotów park, which will cover the construction of four warehouses. We are happy that our warehouses for lease on this site are so popular among tenants and that they recognized by companies from various industries. Among our tenants are logistics operators, distribution and manufacturing companies, large and small businesses,” said Tomasz Lubowiecki, the President of 7R’s Management Board.
In the recent weeks 7R commenced construction of the fifth facility, which will offer 27,000 sqm of modern warehousing space for lease.
“We are currently carrying out dynamic project development and preparatory works in relation to two new buildings for lease, which will be erected within Krakow Kokotów–Brzegi Logistics Park. This year 7R is also planning to launch the development of its sixth warehouse with an area of around 24,000 sqm. However, if potential tenants will still be interested in the lease of our spaces, we do not eliminate the option of commencing the development of another warehouse of about 26,000 sqm by the end of the year,” said Jerzy Czajkowski, 7R’s Management Board’s Proxy for the Investment.
7R’s objective for the Kokotów park is to erect eight buildings with the total area of over 180,000 sqm. This investment has a change of becoming the largest logistics park in Lesser Poland. According to the preliminary assumptions, the works on all of the facilities are scheduled for completion in 2019.
