Construction work on Designer Outlet Kraków is in its final stages, signalling its anticipated opening in spring 2025. The project, developed by KG Group, is progressing on schedule. Currently, finishing touches are being applied, with the first tenants already taking possession of their units. Further handovers are ongoing.
Located on Nowohucka Street within a 12-hectare retail complex, Designer Outlet Kraków combines discounted shopping with opportunities to enjoy time with family and friends, aiming to become the new shopping hub of Kraków. Situated in an area with an established shopping tradition, it is part of a zone that already features two retail parks spanning 55,000 sqm. The outlet enjoys excellent connectivity, being close to two major urban routes: the A4 motorway (Wrocław–Kraków–Rzeszów) and the S7 expressway (Gdańsk–Warsaw–Kraków). A bus stop within the complex will also facilitate access for public transport users. The developer has planned 2,000 parking spaces, underground and above ground.
Designer Outlet Kraków is owned by KG Group, a holding company active in both commercial and residential real estate markets. Management and leasing are overseen by ROS Retail Outlet Shopping, a leading European firm specializing in retail property consultancy and outlet centre management. This marks ROS’s fourth project in Poland and the twelfth in Europe.
“The outlet’s location within the city, on the border of its largest district, Nowa Huta, is unconventional for the outlet industry. Typically, such centres are planned on city outskirts or beyond urban boundaries. Designer Outlet Kraków will operate within an urban area, as part of a retail complex already established by KG Group. It is surrounded by a rapidly developing residential and office zone,” said Krzysztof Gaczorek, President of the Management Board at KG Group.
The 20,000 sqm centre will feature 100 fashion and lifestyle brand stores, offering products at 30–70 percent lower prices compared to traditional retail outlets. Additionally, the developer has planned a diverse gastronomic offering, including a classic food court, an a la carte restaurant, and multiple cafes. The centre will also feature a children’s play area and coworking spaces.
“Fans of great deals can already start counting down the days to the opening of this unique shopping centre. As Kraków’s first urban outlet centre, it is certain to attract a large number of visitors. A rich selection of well-known fashion brands, including premium ones, combined with attractive pricing, will undoubtedly contribute to its popularity. Its excellent location, diverse amenities, and dining options such as restaurants and cafes will make it a meeting point for families and friends. With the growing interest in outlet shopping across Europe, the new centre in Kraków will also boost the local economy and create new jobs,” said Thomas Reichenauer, Co-Founder and Managing Director of ROS Retail Outlet Shopping.
The developer has prioritized visitor comfort. The interiors will be filled with natural daylight thanks to skylights, and wide corridors with relaxation areas will create a unique shopping and leisure atmosphere.
