The Eleventh Annual International Conference on Real Estate Development was held on April 15 & 16, 2015 at the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel, and was once again heralded a great success.
At the Conference there were 56 Croatian and international speakers and altogether more than 350 participants from 19 countries. There were 10 interesting panels and the main topics of the Conference were:
• RE Landscape Triptych / Croatia / SEE Region / EU
• RE Program Triatlon / Development / Financing / Investment
• XI Conference / Tradition / RE Business Platform / Trust
At the opening ceremony of the Conference was the Asia-Pacific investment, cultural and business panel. The moderator was Don Markušić, Solicitor and President of Asia-Pacific Chamber of Commerce, and speakers were Ambassadors of Republic of Azerbaijan, Australia, Indonesia, Korea, Kazakhstan and Iran, First Secretary from Malaysia and Counsellors from China and Japan. Their Excellencies discussed a range of issues such as the possibility of Asian and Pacific countries to invest in Croatia, enhance business activities between the countries, which are the comparative advantages of Croatian Investment and business environment.
On the second panel in the Emerald ballroom of the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel, named Real Estate Development Trends in the World, international and Croatian major development trends were discussed. After the introductory speech that was held by moderator of the panel, Marija Noršić, Member of the Management Board at Filipović Business Advisory Ltd., we had the opportunity to hear presentations of some of the most interesting international trends in branding, positioning and financing, as well to see the presentation of one of the largest real estate portfolio in Croatia.
After the Conference opening and Presentations of real estate trends in the Emerald Ballroom, six more panels were held in the Istanbul and Paris Suites, two by two simultaneously.
In the Istanbul Suite the following panels were held Regional Real Estate Market Comparison, Real Estate Market Movements in Croatia and Investment Completion in Croatian Tourism. The topics discussed in the Paris Suite were Real Estate Development Projects, Regional Investment Hotspots and Retail Opportunities in Croatia.
After the official part of the first conference day, representatives of the Institutional Patrons, Patrons, Sponsors, speakers, participants and other guests were invited to the Gala Party in Esplanade Club.
The Conference continued on Thursday, April 16, 2015, when the following two panels were held in the Istanbul Suite Re-Kaleidoscope perspectives, views and visions Housing.
