Poland tops Europe in industrial growth
Poland’s industrial and logistics sector is booming, leading Europe in growth with 2.32 million sqm of space under construction, according to BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland’s Q1 2024 report. Poland’s total industrial stock has almost reached 33 million sqm. The most active regions include Lower Silesia, Central Poland, and Warsaw.
“The largest volumes of new space under construction are in the ‘Big Five’ markets and the vicinity of Gdansk and Krakow. Development activity is also gathering pace in smaller markets such as Bydgoszcz-Toruń and Szczecin,” says Martyna Kajka, Director of Industrial and Logistics, BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland.
PepsiCo extends 58,500 sqm lease at Logicor Mszczonów Park
PepsiCo Polska has extended its lease for 58,500 sqm of warehouse and office space at Logicor Mszczonów Park, near Warsaw. The site, PepsiCo’s largest distribution centre in Poland, offers strategic advantages in location and environmental compliance, supporting its logistics operations.
“Our central warehouse in Logicor Mszczonów Park is a proven facility, perfectly adapted to our needs. Its greatest advantage is the strategic location and proximity to three of our five plants where salty snacks, carbonated drinks, and juices are produced”, said Marcin Chmielewski, National Logistics Manager, Pepsico Poland.
“The warehouse was built especially for PepsiCo and according to its needs, especially in terms of meeting the business’s high environmental requirements. The distribution centre is BREEAM Excellent certified and equipped with a modern LED lighting system and other amenities”, commented Anna Mazepa, Asset Management Director at Logicor Poland.
Colliers take over management of ORA Shopping Center in Warsaw
Colliers has assumed management of the ORA Shopping Center in Warsaw’s Ursus district. The complex, featuring popular retail brands and new tenants in its latest building, aims to enhance its appeal under Colliers’ expertise.
“Last year was a time of dynamic expansion of our retail property portfolio. We took over the management of 6 retail properties across Poland, providing a combined space of over 46,400 sqm,” says Agnieszka Krzekotowska, Senior Partner, Asset Services, Colliers.
