Mitiska REIM Secures €50M Co-Investment from EBRD
Mitiska REIM, a leader in European convenience real estate, has partnered with the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to secure a €50 million co-investment. This collaboration boosts their MEREP 3 fund’s capital to €290 million, targeting sustainable and flexible urban real estate projects across Europe.
With €110 million already committed to diverse investments, MEREP 3 focuses on value-add opportunities like property retrofitting and eco-friendly designs. EBRD’s involvement will specifically strengthen Mitiska’s projects in Central and Eastern Europe.
Mitiska plans to finalize fundraising by early 2025, surpassing their €300 million target. Managing Partner Sylvie Geuten-Carpentier highlighted the growing demand for convenience real estate, while EBRD emphasized the partnership’s role in fostering green and sustainable assets.
Żabka Group Expands to Romania with froo Brand
Żabka Group has entered Romania with its froo store chain. Collaborating with Exorigo-Upos, the stores mirror Żabka’s successful Polish model.
Starting in 2024, Exorigo-Upos handled IT systems, CCTV installation, and logistics, overcoming challenges like Romania’s complex regulations and infrastructure. Over 50 froo stores have already opened, with plans for further expansion.
Radu Trandafir, General Manager of Froo Romania, praised Exorigo-Upos for its comprehensive support, highlighting its role in adapting to local market nuances and ensuring a smooth launch.
Indotek Group Sells Bokserska Office Center
Budapest-based Indotek Group sold the Bokserska Office Center in Warsaw to Enter Air, Poland’s leading charter airline, which will use it as its new headquarters. The 6,600 sqm property, located in Mokotów, offers strategic proximity to Warsaw Chopin Airport.
Enter Air’s COO, Marcin Kubrak emphasized the importance of the office’s location and growth potential. Indotek’s Philip Wood highlighted the sale as part of the company’s strategy to align its portfolio with market trends.
The deal showcases Mokotów’s resilience in attracting tenants despite market challenges and reinforces Indotek’s commitment to revitalizing real estate assets in Central Europe.
Panattoni Expands Wrocław Logistics Complex
Panattoni has begun a new phase of its Wrocław Campus 2 logistics hub, aiming to deliver 30,000 sqm by June 2025. The entire project will span 160,000 sqm, supporting the region’s booming logistics and industrial sectors.
Located near major production hubs and motorways, the campus offers prime access to European markets. It features sustainable solutions like energy-efficient systems, green zones, and EV charging stations, targeting BREEAM Excellent certification.
Development Director Damian Kowalczyk highlighted Lower Silesia’s role as a logistics powerhouse, making Wrocław Campus 2 a key asset for Panattoni’s portfolio.
