Construction works on the second tower of The Warsaw HUB, a business complex being delivered by Ghelamco in Warsaw’s Wola district, have been completed. The first of two office skyscrapers has reached its projected height of 130 m.
It is currently one of the biggest construction sites in Poland. In the heart of Warsaw’s new business centre, at Rondo Daszyńskiego, as many as three skyscrapers are being built in parallel as part of The Warsaw HUB project: the 86-metre hotel building and two 130-metre office buildings. All are joined by a common five-storey foundation and a 6-floor underground parking lot.
In May, the general contractor and developer, Ghelamco Poland, has completed the reinforced concrete structure of the first of the two office towers. Soon enough, in July, the last skyscraper will be topped out. Simultaneously on all three buildings a glass facade is being installed and finishing works are pending in the interior of the hotel building. The project is planned to be completed in Q1 2020.
“The Warsaw HUB will have everything which is needed for modern business to operate and at the same time will be open to the city and its residents. The skyscrapers will have direct access to the Rondo Daszyńskiego metro station via an underground tunnel which will take you right to the convenience centre. Warsaw residents will be able to do everyday shopping there, have dinner, or build their shape in the fitness centre. Soon we will inform about new tenants enriching the offer of this part of The Warsaw HUB,” says Jarosław Zagórski, Commercial and Business Development Director, Ghelamco Poland.
The Warsaw HUB will offer 113,000 sqm of multifunctional space. It will host state-of-the-art office, co-working and conference space, as well as, among others, The Heart Warsaw centre of cooperation between corporations and startups, Biedronka supermarket, Zdrofit fitness club, Rossmann drugstore, McDonald’s and Olimp restaurants, and many other commercial spaces. The lowest tower will host Holiday Inn Express hotel and the first Crowne Plaza hotel in Poland, which will provide more than 430 rooms and apartments.
The Warsaw HUB is popular among tenants from the financial sector – Getin Noble Bank and Standard Chartered’s global business services centre will have their new headquarters there.
The future workers of the complex will be provided with state-of-the-art technology solutions. They will be able to access the building using a smartphone application or enter the parking lot via a license plate recognition system. To address the current automotive trends, the developer will also provide electric car charging stations. The complex will be powered from three independent sources, and the tenants will also be able to install their own generators.
The location of the complex at Rondo Daszyńskiego will provide its future tenants and guests with many public transport options, including the second metro line, numerous tram and bus stops and vicinity of urban rail. Nearby there is also an extensive network of bicycle paths, therefore Ghelamco has strongly focused on cyclists as well. They will be provided with a vast parking lot for 420 bicycles, independent of the car park, equipped with separate driveway platforms and changing rooms with showers.
