The construction of MLP Business Park Vienna has reached a key milestone with the successful completion of the structural framework. The traditional topping-out ceremony was attended by representatives of MLP Group, future tenants including ODÖRFER Haustechnik KG an Austrian non-profit organisation, and the general contractor Goldbeck Rhomberg. The project remains on schedule, with the handover of completed facilities expected in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The construction of the modern urban business park is advancing in line with the schedule. Having achieved a key milestone marked by the traditional topping-out ceremony, attended by representatives of the project owner, general contractor and future tenants, the project is now entering its next phase of development. The entity responsible for its successful execution is Goldbeck Rhomberg. Construction began in the spring of this year with the laying of the foundation stone, and the project is slated for completion and handover in the fourth quarter of 2024.
“We are delighted to have reached this key milestone in the development of MLP Business Park Vienna. It marks a crucial step in realising our ambitious vision of creating a modern, sustainable business space. Located on a post-industrial site, the project is progressing on schedule, representing our flagship development as well as our first venture into the Austrian market. We are proud to deliver state-of-the-art, eco-conscious facilities near Vienna. Their strategic location will make them perfectly suited for urban logistics operations. We owe special thanks to our construction partner, Goldbeck Rhomberg, for their exemplary cooperation throughout this process,” said Peter Falb, Chief Country Officer Austria, MLP Group.
“The construction of the MLP Business Park Vienna is progressing rapidly. The ground-breaking ceremony took place in spring and now we are already celebrating the completion of the shell. One of the main reasons for this speed is the smooth cooperation between all parties involved in the project,” said Valentin Oswald, branch manager and authorized signatory at Goldbeck Rhomberg.
MLP Business Park Vienna will ultimately comprise four buildings, offering a total of about 55,000 sqm. Tenants will be able to lease units starting from around 3,100 sqm in size. The space offered by the new project will primarily cater to urban logistics, e-commerce, and light manufacturing operators, including companies specialising in car sales, assembly, and servicing. The numerous environmentally sustainable features integrated into the design that are also set to enhance tenant well-being include green roofs, solar photovoltaic systems, and a landscaped recreational area with a pond. In line with the strategy to integrate sustainable solutions, MLP Business Park Vienna targets the prestigious ÖGNI Gold certification.
