Warburg-HIH Invest Real Estate (Warburg-HIH Invest) is in the process of opening a dedicated branch in London and has appointed Martin Payne as Managing Director of Warburg-HIH Invest Real Estate UK Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of Warburg-HIH Invest that will handle the current asset management of the company’s UK holdings together with TH Real Estate.
Martin Payne (aged 43) will be responsible for controlling the asset management of the UK portfolio of Warburg-HIH Invest in a volume of 375 million euros and the implementation of transactions. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the property investment sector to the job and previously worked for TH Real Estate.
By opening the London office, Warburg-HIH Invest consistently continues to implement its strategy of managing its real estate through dedicated branches. It is the third new branch office the company established over the past twelve months, after having opened a branch in Vienna (September 2017) and Amsterdam (January 2018).
Incoming Managing Director UK, Martin Payne, said: “The United Kingdom is one of the leading national economies in Europe. The unease that Brexit has been causing lately will subside as the negotiation outcomes become known in the course of 2019. With its new branch office in London, Warburg-HIH Invest is even better positioned than it was to identify investment opportunities.”
Andreas Schultz, Managing Director for Transaction Management International at Warburg-HIH Invest, added: “Maintaining a presence in London and being close to the market has always mattered greatly to our business. We keep a very close eye on the British real estate market so as to be able to respond swiftly to emerging opportunities. Our incoming Managing Director, Martin Payne, is a proven expert for this real estate market. His know-how will be instrumental in creating attractive investment products for our clients and in ensuring the performance is on target through suitable asset management measures.”
