WDP and Action sign agreement for sustainable distribution center in Romania

WDP has signed an agreement with Action, a fast-growing international non-food discounter, for the development of a new large-scale distribution hub at WDP Park Bucharest Ștefănești. The signing marks an important step forward following the project announcement in June 2025 and confirms the long-term partnership between the two companies.

The facility will comprise approximately 54,000 sqm of modern warehouse space, located on a 15-hectare site with the potential for an additional 20,000 sqm expansion. With construction set to begin in early 2026 and delivery scheduled by year-end, the project represents an investment of around €40 million. The building will be leased to Action through a long-term triple-net lease agreement of at least 15 years.

The project will target BREEAM Outstanding certification, incorporating photovoltaic panels and advanced energy-efficient systems. This new distribution centre underlines WDP’s ambition to set a benchmark in sustainable logistics development, while supporting Action in strengthening its regional supply chain.

The official signing highlights WDP’s ability to convert its land reserves into value through tailored, pre-let developments. WDP has already added 150,000 sqm of new pre-let projects to its pipeline this year, reinforcing both long-term client partnerships and sustainable earnings growth.

Located at WDP Park Bucharest – Ștefănești, the new hub offers excellent connectivity to Bucharest, major road networks, and key local markets.
