WDP is launching the development of a 32,000 sqm distribution centre in WDP Park Bucharest – Ștefănești for FAN Courier Group, one of Romania’s leading courier and logistics operators. Already a WDP client in Timișoara, FAN Courier Group is further strengthening its partnership with WDP through this new project.
The €22 million investment will be carried out on land from WDP’s strategic land bank in northern Bucharest, with an expected yield in line with the company’s objectives. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2026 and is expected to be completed within the same year. The space will be leased on a long-term, fixed triple-net agreement for 10 years.
Designed to support the client’s courier operations, the new centre will enhance Ștefănești’s role as a major logistics hub, providing direct connections to the capital and neighbouring regions.
“Through this project, WDP strengthens its relationship with FAN Courier Group and expands its footprint in northern Bucharest. The development aligns perfectly with our cluster strategy and benefits from an optimal location with excellent connectivity. With this expansion, the first phase of the park is now fully completed, highlighting the sustained demand for modern logistics space,” said Jeroen Biermans, Country Manager WDP Romania.
With a total leasable area exceeding 400,000 sqm, WDP Park Bucharest – Ștefănești has become, in less than a decade, the largest cluster in WDP’s portfolio. The park offers both smaller units and large-scale big-box distribution centres, serving a diverse client base from robust industries — including major international retailers such as Decathlon, Auchan and LPP, as well as industrial suppliers.
The new courier-focused project marks the completion of the park’s first development phase and positions Ștefănești, alongside WDP Park Bollène (France), as one of the largest parks in the company’s portfolio.
WDP is now focusing on further expansion around Bucharest through new land acquisitions. These strategic land reserves form the foundation for future extensions and sustainable long-term growth, in full alignment with the company’s long-term strategy.
Within the current WDP Park Bucharest – Ștefănești, an additional 30,000 sqm of expansion potential has already been reserved for existing clients. North of the park, a new logistics park is under development, with the first 54,000 sqm project dedicated to Action now underway.
