West Gate business park, situated in the West of tBuchares, owned by Genesis Development, has signed the fourth expansion of Société Générale European Business Services in H2 building. Currently, SG EBS – owned by the French multinational banking and financial services group Société Générale – uses 7,600 sqm of office space in West Gate, the contract is valid until 2021.
This is the fourth consecutive expansion and consolidation in Genesis Development’s portfolio, following the expansions and extensions of Hewlett Packard, Yokogawa and Infineon in Novo Park, that total around 35,000 sqm of office space. Genesis Development owns West Gate and Novo Park, a portfolio of 150,000 sqm Class A office spaces certified BREEAM Very Good.
Société Générale European Business Services was founded in 2011 and it is a service center of the Société Générale Group. The company provides high quality professional services in various fields of activity for worldwide entities of the Group: finance/accounting, procurement, human resources and IT.
“We were inspired when we choose West Gate in 2012. In the meantime, we extended our activity and operations and we decided to stay here, as we found flexibility and the solutions for each stage of the development of our company,” said Phillipe Garcet, CEO of SG EBS.
SG EBS currently serves over 20 countries, mostly across Europe, for all major business lines of the Société Générale Group. Through consolidated strategies of serving the clients and the management of business process optimization, SG EBS aims at becoming a regional center of excellence for Société Générale Group.
Since its creation, SG EBS registered a rapid growth, thus at the end of 2015 it counted 630 employees, with the objective of reaching a number of 1,000 employees by 2017.

The new contract with Société Générale European Business Services entered into force at the beginning of 2016.
Among the companies based in West Gate there are such names as Dacia Renault, Siemens, Accenture, Panasonic, Alpha Bank, Carestream Health and Medicover.
West Gate is located in Militari neighborhood, close to Preciziei subway station. The business park spans on a total GLA of 75,000 sqm, shared among five office buildings.
