Galeria Pomorska extension topped-out

Galeria Pomorska extension topped-out

The on-going extension of Galeria Pomorska is the largest undertaking in the history of this popular shopping centre in Bydgoszcz. The extension, with a total cost of some €25 million, has been carried out in phases since late 2013. During this time, two new car parks have been added including a multi-storey car park, which can accommodate up to 900 cars and provide over 600 all-weather parking spaces. The gallery extension itself, as the final phase having started in September 2014, covers the creation of the new shopping mall providing an additional 10,000 sqm of lettable space and 40 new retail shops, taking the total number of shops at Galeria Pomorska to 140.

“The Galeria Pomorska extension is an extremely important project for us, in part because it is the first shopping centre in Poland that we are involved in, but also because it will bring forward another chapter in the history of this successful shopping centre. Our aim has always been to build on the success of Galeria Pomorska and create an even more vibrant, interesting and convenient place for the people of Bydgoszcz. We are bringing many new retailers and expanding a number of our existing retailers into new, modern stores. Visitors and retailers can already walk through part of the extension as it is being built and share in the excitement of what we are creating. I am looking forward to 10th September when we will open the extended Galeria Pomorska,” said Shane Scott, Partner at Resolution Property.
