adidas Originals opens flagship store in Russia

adidas Group has open Russia’s only flagship store of adidas Originals brand in the centre of Moscow. JLL advised adidas Group on the lease contract for the premises of around 300 sqm.

adidas Originals is a casual clothing brand founded in 2001 and inspired by the rich sporting heritage of adidas, one of the world’s largest sports brands, a leader in development and manufacturing of footwear and apparel for athletes. adidas Originals maintains the brand heritage through its commitment to innovations and ability to view brave creative ideas conceived at courts and stadiums, through the lens of today’s youth culture while building on the archive adidas models. Branded by the Trefoil logo first used in 1972 and immediately favoured by creative trend-setters, adidas Originals has remained a leading brand in street fashion.

Moscow got the brand’s 11th flagship concept store, joining the world’s largest cities like New York, London, Tokyo, Berlin, and more. Originals Moscow embodies the true spirit and style of Russia’s capital city with its intricate combination of modern dynamic pace and traditional, ancestral patterns. The flagship store interior integrates styles of Moscow’s various epochs.

Kirill Bondarenko, brand manager, adidas Style, said: “We are proud to announce the opening of Russia’s only adidas Originals flagship store in Moscow. We do believe it will make a great third place for all fans of the brand. Here, they can both purchase the latest collections, collaborations and limited editions AND attend exciting showcases, master classes, exhibitions, and parties. We see Originals Moscow in Kuznetsky Most as a unique retail project following the hottest trends in design, concept and ambience music while fully understanding the target audience interests.”

Natalia Ozernaya, Deputy Head of Street Retail, Moscow, JLL, commented: “For many years now, Kuznetsky Most has remained one of the most-wanted streets for flagship retail projects. Recent pedestrianization turned the street into a comfortable urban area and a place for regular festivals, making Kuznetsky Most a locals’ place of choice for going out as well as a tourist attraction. There is always a heavy traffic which makes the street attractive for the largest brands, Russian as well as global. For adidas Originals’ unique concept, we have found a TSUM-area space with high arched ceilings and huge windows, fully meeting the image of a country-unique brand’s flagship store.”
