Peakside acquire commercial and office property in Brno
Peakside Capital acquired a commercial and office property with an area of 11,000 sqm, located in Brno. The transaction was concluded with Albert Česká republika, which will continue its operations in the facility under a new lease agreement with Peakside.
The facility has 9,000 sqm commercial and 2,000 sqm of office space. The building is almost entirely leased. Among more than 20 tenants there are, among others companies such as: Albert Hypermarket, KiK, Teta drugstore and BENU pharmacy.
The facility will soon undergo a comprehensive reconstruction, which will be implemented in the framework of cooperation between Peakside and Albert Česká republika. The scope of changes in real estate will include reducing the Albert hypermarket, creating new commercial premises and improving the quality of common areas. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the terms of the commercial transaction.
Michał Nawrot, conducting the transaction on the part of Peakside, commented: "We are very pleased with the purchase of real estate in Brno. It is a convenience shopping facility with a very strong tenant base, at the same time with significant potential for value growth that can be unlocked through planned real estate reconstruction.”
Julien Bernadet, managing the sales process on behalf of Ahold, added: "We are very pleased with the cooperation with Peakside and we have full confidence in Peakside regarding remodeling and facility management, while Albert will focus 100 percent on providing customers with the best food products thanks to its the latest hypermarket concept."
During the transaction, Peakside was assisted by legal advisers from OHB advokati and financial and tax consultants from ASB Group.
