This year, for the 15th edition of the PRCH Retail Awards, businesses submitted a total of 116 applications: 41 in the business and strategy categories, and 75 in the marketing categories. Jury teams are currently in the process of thoroughly evaluating all applications. The winners of this prestigious competition in the retail sector will be announced on November 14 at the PRCH Retail Awards Gala.
“I am very pleased that this edition received as many as 116 competition applications, which confirms the improving condition of the industry. I am also delighted to see the steadily growing representation of retail parks, reflecting how the commercial real estate market in Poland is evolving. During this edition, which is special as it marks the 15th anniversary of the event, we take a closer look at current trends, draw inspiration, and reward those who, with their creativity and project execution, stay one step ahead of others, setting industry standards. Over the years, more than a hundred jurors have assessed over a thousand applications, awarding over 300 prizes. The next winners will be announced soon at the gala, and I warmly invite you to attend,” says Marcin Klammer, Managing Director of the Polish Council of Shopping Centres.
The work of the jury teams is underway and will conclude in mid-October. Each application is assessed according to specific criteria, with points awarded for each. In each category, the jury can award a maximum of one gold and two silver prizes. To receive an award, a project must meet a certain point threshold. If no application meets the required threshold, no prizes will be awarded in that category. After the competition, each applicant will receive a report detailing the evaluation and providing comments from the judges.
This year’s edition features activities that took place between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, except for certain business and strategy categories, which have a different timeframe. Among the 23 competition categories, there are four new ones: Recommercialisation of the Year, ESG Communication of the Year, Customer Loyalty Activities, and The Biggest Challenge – specifically related to marketing activities.
The results of the competition will be announced on November 14, 2024, during the PRCH Retail Awards gala at Forteca Kręglickich, a historic venue with a unique atmosphere in Warsaw.
